For this build, our team constructed a highly reinforced formwork system using a large volume of plywood and bracing to shape and support the basement walls during the concrete pour. These temporary wood forms were carefully installed to withstand the pressure of wet concrete, ensuring clean lines, consistent wall thickness, and structural integrity throughout the curing process.
The project involved deep excavation and the creation of vertical concrete walls designed to retain surrounding soil while supporting the structure above. Our team installed a reinforced CMU block foundation using 16-inch concrete masonry units, each designed with dual openings to accommodate vertical rebar placement. Steel rebar was strategically inserted through the CMU block cores and secured to ensure maximum structural stability, preventing lateral movement and reinforcing the integrity of the foundation over time.
